Accidental life insurance Accidental death is a limited life insurance that is designed to cover the insured when they pass away due to an accident only. What qualifies as an accident may differ from one insurance carrier to the next, and deaths in most cases need to occur within 90 days of the accident to pay out, so check with your carrier for exact dates and exclusions? Accidents include anything from an injury, but do not typically cover any deaths resulting from health problems, disease, or suicide. In fact, even a death by disease may be considered an accident if the disease was contracted as a result of an accident and if the insured perishes within a certain time frame. Because they only cover accidents, these policies are much less expensive than other life insurances. Even if you've been declined with other types of insurance, it is highly likely you will qualify for Accidental life insurance and can be approved as fast as 15 minutes depending on the carrier.
